Wonder | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Udita Jhunjhunwala Livemint Wonder is a sentimental family film. While it's not devoid of clichés, these are offset by solid performances and a winsome, uplifting story told with tenderness. Aug 13, 2019 Full Review Wonder | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Ariel Henley The Atlantic Wonder is a well-crafted, well-intentioned movie. But it also downplays some important economic, emotional, medical, and psychological realities...it missed a chance to better represent the experiences of children who are already so widely misunderstood. Dec 22, 2017 Full Review Wonder | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Liz Moody Empire Magazine It sometimes over-plays its hand but, anchored by a terrific Jacob Tremblay, Wonder is a warm persuasive argument for tolerance. Rated: 3/5 Dec 3, 2017 Full Review Wonder | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson Between that life lesson of choosing kindness and many invaluable others, the film's buoyant messages are the moving jolt of empathy this generation needs. Rated: 5/5 Jun 26, 2022 Full Review Wonder | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Joe Lipsett Hazel & Katniss & Harry & Starr Podcast While the film's success has shone an important light on disability, the casting controversies, inability to let Auggie be a real person and inspiration porn messaging verge on insufferable. Wonder desperately wants you to cry. I did not. Rated: 2/5 Jun 3, 2022 Full Review Wonder | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Matt Brunson Film Frenzy For a picture that begs to be drowned in sentimental syrup, Wonder feels emotionally honest rather than willfully manipulative. Yoyi Y I didn't like this movie the first time I watched it, but I think I was blind for me to watch it like that, it's really good, beautiful and very good for kids, the bullying down, the friends high. Wonder is a good movie to watch with family, it was very weird that Netflix here in Chile rated it 13+ but then it rated it 7+, I think it's because Wonder is more for kids and family than teens. Recommend it a lot Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review TROY S "Wonder" is one of those emotional films that make you feel good in the end. The story of an outcast ten year-old boy with facial deformation that outdoes his schoolmates and becomes cherished in the end is a great entertainment although unrealistic. A school with only one wicked child is absolutely unusual and hard to believe. But the film is worthwhile watching, with Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson showing outstanding chemistry and nice characters. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/10/24 Full Review Kayden P Amazing movie! So good! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/11/24 Full Review Jonathan K It's a family movie but it feels a lot more like a kids' movie. It's overtly saccharine and overly dramatic, but somehow still a decent movie as the tearjerker genre goes. But it doesn't feel like it's aging well, even only 7 years old. This clearly was made in an Obama "Yes we can" era. I doubt if such a cutesy hopeful film like this even gets greenlit in 2024 without some major changes to the script. And I'm increasingly getting the feeling that it's not just comedies that don't age well given changes in culture and social progress, but also sweet gooey dramas as well. Even though it did move me in points -- I'm a bit of a softie -- it just felt a little bit much. Julia Roberts was great though. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/25/24 Full Review Kayleigh S This movie is heartwarming and sweet my favorite thing about this movie is that Auggie may look different but he's definitely special in many ways and he makes really good friends ❤ 😊 Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/16/24 Full Review diam0ndkiller Nothing much to say. This is the world's best movie, and it packs so much emotion!!! <3 Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/24 Full Review Read all reviews
